to those who’ve sent me messages/asks over the past few days, I have seen them, don’t worry! It’s finals week, so this week and next week involves minimal social media for me. You may see the occasional reblog, but I won’t be on here like I usually am. I will answer messages after finals are OVAH!!!!!

seriously, tumblr needs to notify us when someone publicly answers a question we ask them. otherwise i don’t remember to check their blogs to see if they answered them there or simply haven’t answered them yet :P

I FOUND IT! I FOUND THE ANSWER!

Okay, maybe not the final answer, but part of the problem! Asks keep getting eaten. Which is a big problem when you’re doing something anon and don’t want to ask the person “did you get it”? 

If the ask contains an ellipsis without a trailing space, it gets eaten. It says delivered, but it goes nowhere.

So “Well… then” will get delivered but “Well…then” won’t!

Hopefully this helps in getting your asks actually delivered.

Post I made for my RP account, but very relevant elsewhere.

After discovering this, I tested it. Five different accounts between two people, anon vs not. No matter what, without fail, if the trailing space was missing, the message was not delivered.

I contacted Tumblr staff. They were already fully aware this was happening, but it is not documented anywhere. Nor do they seem keen on giving their users a warning about it in any fashion.

Help me spread the word because the staff won’t!

Considering I uses ellipsis in nearly everything I write, this explains quite a bit. I also need to send some asks out again.

Hermione: Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller and The Alchemist  by Paulo Coelho. I’ve read both at least once a year, if not more. I love the first b/c he describes human nature and life from such a fresh perspective… it shocks me back to reality and reminds me of what’s important. Same thing with the Alchemist, but in a different way. Coelho’s style is more broad, making a person consider where they are in life and what they’re doing with it. 

Voldemort: I don’t see the point in answering this since I have zero desire to kill anyone or to achieve immortality in this life… 

Hedwig: Owl. They’re dead useful :D

Hagrid: Fave mystical creature… I would say the HP version of unicorns, because they’re so elusive and their hair and blood have healing properties. 

McGonagall: Fave spell… Aguamenti… it’s the most practical of spells, really. Like if I’m ever stranded in the desert.
